Sarah Mohan, MS, CRC, MHC Intern
Meet Sarah, a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and Mental Health Counseling intern. Sarah earned a Bachelor's degree in psychology and criminal justice from Mercyhurst University and a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University at Buffalo, SUNY. Sarah spent 3.5 years as a transitional counselor for high school students with disabilities at the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation in North Carolina prior to returning to New York. Sarah is currently working toward her license in mental health counseling. When Sarah is not interning with us, she is a rehabilitation therapist on an ACT team, working primarily with individuals who have a diagnosis of schizophrenia.
Sarah specializes in motivational interviewing, goal-setting, crisis intervention, psychotic disorders, and cognitive disabilities. Sarah has a person-centered approach to therapy and views each client in a unique way. Sarah also thinks outside of the box when it comes to treatment, which helps each client receive a personalized form of treatment and care. |
