DMV & Court Evaluations

Several counselors at Healing & Growth Counseling are approved by NYS OASAS and DMV to conduct Screenings, Assessments, and Treatment.  If you have been arrested for a DWI, DUI, or for another drug or alcohol-related reason, your attorney, probation officer, or the court may recommend an evaluation from a qualified mental health professional.  If your license was suspended, the DMV may require a Screening and Assessment as part of the process in order to get your full license back.

The process of a Screening and Assessment includes two appointments with the clinician, a toxicology screen, a collateral interview, and review of arrest documents.  Upon completion of the Screening and Assessment, the clinician will upload the results to the OASAS/DMV online portal, if applicable.  The clinician is also able to document a letter if needed for court purposes.
