Wendy Chaite, JD, MHC Intern
“Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain.”
Life is not always easy . . . yet, in partnership with a compassionate, caring, and capable counselor, you can “learn to dance in the rain.” I am devoted to helping you heal and grow as you navigate along your own life journey. With self-compassion, clarity and confidence, discover life’s hidden lessons, learn to appreciate your blessings, and cultivate a sense of inner peace, gratitude, and abundance.
As an intern in my final semester at Hofstra University preparing for my licensure as a New York State Mental Health Counselor, I bring a wealth of personal and professional experience to my counseling practice. Having been an attorney, professor, not-for-profit executive, and university administrator (career counselor), I am able to step back and assist you in seeing the big picture as you navigate life’s twists and turns. Having raised my own family as well as providing aid and guidance to others throughout the years – I appreciate the many struggles one might face in life – from coping with the terrible twos, the terrifying teens, to the transitioning young adult; aging parents, marital discourse, both acute and chronic mental and physical health problems, as well as life transitions in general – especially professionally.
In addition to the excellent training I received through Hofstra University’s accredited and well regarded Mental Health Counseling Master’s Program, I have among others, specialized training in positive psychology, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapy. My approach with clients, while holistic in nature and spiritually centered – is both pragmatic and solution focused.
Please feel free to contact me so I can provide you shelter and protection from the storm while simultaneously helping guide you toward your optimal dance steps. Shall we dance? Take my hand –
