I believe there is an infinite amount of “more” stored inside all of us, but sometimes we can’t get out of our own way to access it; sometimes, we need a little help. None of this is inherently our fault, we often are conditioned towards certain responses from a young age, endure trauma, and develop coping mechanisms that feel like they meet a need, but can end up being counterproductive. Let me help you learn important tools to gain new insights, alter your perspective, and remove the obstacles in the way of you obtaining your “more” because you are capable and you are worth it!
My name is Margaret and I am a mental health counseling intern at Healing and Growth Counseling. I am a queer plant aficionado and doting pet parent who is dedicated to my own personal and clinical growth and development through unlearning, relearning, objectivity, and multicultural competency. I have 14 years’ experience supporting people with various mental health diagnoses, developmental disabilities, substance use disorders, learning disabilities, and other behavioral health conditions in regard to developing important skills and attaining their goals. I am a Credentialed Employment Support Professional™, a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, and a Certified Employment Evaluation Specialist who has dedicated the bulk of my career to supporting people through career counseling and guidance, so I’ve got your work woes and stressors covered. I am comfortable assisting you with workplace dilemmas including boundary-setting, career exploration and advances, hard conversations, advocating for yourself, and feeling empowered and safe at work. |
As a student intern, Margaret offers a reduced fee for clients. Session cost is $50 per session, and sliding scale options are available. Margaret is scheduled to be an intern with us until August 2026.
